Chronic Kidney Disease Screening

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) affects 1 in 10 of the population.

90% of people have mild to moderate kidney disease which can be managed by their own GP. As you get older CKD becomes more common. 50% of people over 75yrs have some degree of kidney disease.

Our new renal clinic aims to:

Detect early kidney disease.
Monitor our patients closely.
Educate patients on the issues surrounding kidney disease.

Kidney deterioration can be reduced if noticed early and monitored carefully. We have set up a clinic with Caroline Dyer who is a nurse specialist in renal medicine. She is available on Tuesday afternoons, please feel free to make an appointment to see her if you have any concerns.
